About The F-use

The F-use was started by songwriter and instrumentalist Matthew Estevez while he was in middle school in Waxhaw, North Carolina. Inspired by the debut Foo Fighters album, he started to learn many instruments, starting with drums, to guitar, bass, and singing. After many years of practicing and hopping in and out of bands, Matthew kept working on his love for music and songwriting.

In the past few years, Matthew has put out a debut album, EP and handful of singles where he wrote and played every instrument while having a hand in recording, production and mixing with his best friend Joey O'Brien.

In early 2023, Matthew received his first sync placement on the third episode of the first season on the AppleTV+ show, Shrinking, starring Harrison Ford and Jason Segal, with his song, I Don't Feel Like I Belong Here.
